How to Resolve WiFi Issues in OS X Yosemite?

Apple has rolled out the latest version OS X Yosemite to improve the working better than from its earlier versions. Since Mac has revealed out Yosemite, Mac users have been facing many issues, what they didn’t face in Mavericks. Issues in downloading and installing it, application update column after upgrading Yosemite version, Screen sharing/File sharing and dropping out of WiFi connection continuously. Although, OS X 10.10.1 has been revealed to fix the above mentioned issues, but still few problems are persisting here. If you are one of those Mac users and facing the WiFi issues after installing Yosemite in Mac then read ahead for the solution. 

How to Resolve WiFi Connection via Wireless Network?

After upgrading to Yosemite, many users are facing an ailment of WiFi connection. Well, here is a solution and in earlier version, you must have tried this method of accessing wireless network via accessing Keychain to troubleshoot WiFi connection issue. 

If Mac is running OS X Yosemite then go to ‘Keychain access’ area and locate ‘Wireless Network‘. Now, double click on this network


Once you double click on it, two tabs will be shown here (Attributes & Access Control)

Go to ‘Access Control’ tab and ‘tick’ the check box “allow all applications to access this item”

Once you are done with the above mentioned steps, try to access WiFi connection. It will be resolved.

How to Resolve WiFi Trouble with a New ‘Network Location’?

Firstly, check that which OS X version is running in your Mac. Click on Apple menu and chose ‘About This Mac’. A message box will be prompted with the Mac System information.

 If OS X 10.10.1 has installed in Mac then move directly to the next paragraph. Else If OS X 10.10.1 is not installed then update the Mac machine with this version. Go to Mac App store. Download and install the update. Once you are done with it, reboot Mac to complete the installation process successfully.

If OS X 10.10.1 has been installed in your Mac and still system is getting irritated by the continuous dropping out of WiFi connection then create a new Network location by these steps.

It may be possible that you might have created new network locations earlier in previous time to troubleshoot WiFi problems. If the answer is yes! i.e. If you already created any new network location then rather caring of that earlier network location, try to create a new one from the scratch.
 
New 'Network Location' Creation Process


Step 1: Go To Apple menu and click on ‘System Preferences’ option and choose ‘Network’ panel

Step 2: In the ‘Network Preferences’ panel, choose ‘Locations’ menu bar from the above top area

Step 3: Select ‘Edit Locations’ option from the dropdown list

Step 4: Create a new network location by clicking on [+] button (situated in the down left side). Now, give this new network a name (for e.g. “OS X10.10.1 WiFi connection” or “My Internet”) and click on ‘Done’ button to finish the ‘network location’ creation process.

Step 5: From the left pane, choose the desired WiFi network connection and join it simply.

Step 6: Once you complete this process, click on ‘Apply’ and take an exit from ‘System Preferences’ window

Step 7: The last step is to Reboot Mac

Try to troubleshoot WiFi issue with the above mentioned process (Keychain Access or Network Location) and improve the working with OS X Yosemite.
