We
all love our Mac machine and therefore taking care of its performance
is our responsibility towards making it perform like first day. But
do you really feel that your Mac behaves in the same way as before.
Most of you have answer 'NO'.
Even
after proper cleaning of unwanted applications and files like cache,
duplicate etc we unable to get that flawless performance like day
one. This is all due to 'fragmentataion'.
Fragmentataion
of files is the process that ccur automatically in your Mac drive as
the time passes. Because there is no such inbuilt utiity in your Mac
that prevents your files from being fragmented.
Mac
has HFS+file system that can minimize fragmentation upto 20MB file
size only. So, one should notice that OS X checks for files having
more than 8fragments in order to defrag it.
For
user having various large files on his Mac drive like video clips,
audio files etc require to have some third party application for
defragmentation of Mac files.
For
details one can refer to following link for defragmenting his Mac
drive.
